Founder & Lead Advisor

Emily has dedicated her career to supporting entrepreneurs. From university incubators to rural coworking communities, she has brought a hunger to learn and share resources, make connections, and empower people to take brave steps. She is a serial side-hustler and has fallen in love with the creative & problem-solving brainpower that launching & growing new ideas demands.

Before Things My Friends Made, she has called herself “co-founder” of 3 businesses and “mentor” to hundreds. She brings a unique mix of experience to Things My Friends Made:

managing a rural coworking community of 200+
running a post-secondary entrepreneurship program
pitching a tourism business to a crowd of over 300
a wide range of experience in industries ranging from wine, tourism, home & garden, health & wellness, and economic development
